Annoying Alt+Tab issue in TF2

I need help. The past few days, when I hit Alt+Tab to access my in-game browser/chat windows, instead of pulling up the game overlay it simply exits my full-screen game and returns me to my desktop. This hasn't been happening before though, and I want it fixed.

^I meant shift tab, I got it mixed up... Anyways, I found out that any time I am in full screen ANYTHING and I hit TAB, it exits it. Can I disable this?

Some monitors you can, others you cannot. My old G15 had a switch to disable. Otherwise, go to steam and check settings.

I have the K370 keyboard, and I have a program to program the hotkeys on it, but I can't program ordinary keys. I use Setpoint.

Change the steam overlay key to the home or page key

Change the default keys so you don't press them at the same time.
