Annoying error message

Everytime i start my computer and windows loads i get an error saying c:/progra~1/newdot~2.dll .Its not effecting my computer in any way but its just annoying me.

It may possible that you or someone else that used your computer has deleted a file accidently?

If you're running XP, click on the start menu, then click on run. Enter msconfig then click OK. Click on the last icon on the last subfolder (at the right of the window) which should be probably "start" or something like that (I am running a french version of XP...sorry) and which gives you access to all the programms to be started everytime you open your windows session. Find the line you mention in your e-mail and uncheck the box in front of it. Restart your computer and it should be OK.

well thats a browser hijacker.. meaning its a trojan in a way.. even if u dont allow it to run on startup on msconfig.. it'll reinstate itself.. and run itself again... you have to delete a registry first... heres a guide

Ok,i have tried all the methods mentioned above with no effect.I have downloaded a program called pc onpoint which has finally fixed the problem for me,fantastic software.Thankyou to all who tried to help me
