Annoying freezes and BSOD's

Hi guys,

So ive got a problem with my gaming pc. Its freezes about 2-3 times a week and bsod's not very often but when it does its says hardware error. The most bsod that just happened a hour ago didn't log :( These are my specs:

Case: Zalman Z11 Plus
Power Supply: Corsair CX600 600W
Processor: Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5Ghz - Highly Overclockable
Overclocking: Extreme
Processor Cooler: Stock Manufacturer Heatsink and fan
RAM: 8GB Corsair DDR3 XMS3 1600MHz/PC12800
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive 7200rpm 32MB Cache
Sound card: Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio
Optical Drive: Sony 24x DVD/CD ± Re-Writer Black
Network card: Integrated 10/100/1000

The things i am worried about are bold

I think i might be a heat issue due to me not getting a third party cooler (Stupid...)

I will be happy to give you more info and minidumps

What are your temps? Have you stress tested it with that overclock to make sure it's stable? Most common causes for a BSoD with an overclock is an unstable overclock.
 
Again, did you stress test your overclock? We'll also look more into the bluescreen.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.
 
So you can do two things:

1: Provide us with a BluescreenView log
2: Stress test your overclock with Prime95 for several hours. If it bluescreens, bring the overclock down a little bit and test again.
 
Ok but this overclock was done by UKGC (Uk Gaming Computers) and i dont really want to touch the BIOS i just want to find out whats happened

Wrong type of output but I still got the gist of it. Code 124 refers to a hardware issue when overclocking for the most part. So there is an issue with the overclock. Go into the bios and remove it and you should be fine.
