Annoying links

Hey, I'm pretty much a noob at computers but I have an annoying problem. I have these little link things that stay on my Internet Explorer. Whenever I start to type something, "S" for example, I have all these links pop down under it. Is there any way to get rid of these? Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

I tried clearing history and cookies but it didn't work. Help please?

Oh, it's not a problem. If you don't want to see all those links in IExplorer go to Tools - Internet options - Content Tab - AutoComplete. There you'll be able to choose whether you want to use it for different entries you've typed before. But frankly I find this option very convenient

Not when you live with mom, or girlfriend... and you type in something that can begin with ..x,p,c,s and bad things "pop" up
