Annoying Yahoo Problem

A few weeks ago, in my Yahoo mailbox, it said I have 2 unread emails, I've been through my whole mailbox and found nothing. I let it go, but today, it says I have 3 unread messages.

Anyway on how to solve this?

Check your spam folder if one is present. Often ad mails are directed there according to how the filters are set. With inbox.com free accounts there see at least 10 daily that have to be removed or the account is closed if left unattended after two weeks.
 
Solved it.

I had to filter my mailbox to show all unread messages. They were two from a forum registration.

Just a matter of settings. Different types of accounts as well as different providers will each have their own there. If they were something you expected you can usually add them to a safe list of senders.
