Hey guys,

Last time you guys helped me out a bunch building my rig, im still very happy with it. My friend came over and saw my rig. Now he wants one to :P

Since im now in belgium, he wants to use http://alternate.be/html/index.html instead of newegg.com

His budget is 600 euros (around 850 dollars for reference) +- a few
He wants to do some gaming Mw2, Medal of Honor, Minecraft :P but also be able to multitask?

Can you guys set me up with a build?

Thx =)

am i going overkill on the HDD? and what about the CPU? He wants to have the option to go double 5770 in future, it looks like the Mobo supports it but does the power supply?

im not sure about the the RAM, he wants the amd six core. i dont have any experience with building an AMD sooo. what i think is that the ram goes in sets of 2/4 instead of sets of 3 (like the i7) but im not sure.

just another question about sound. i know my foxxcon bloodrage came with a sounds card, im guess this mobo does not since its that much cheaper. does he need a sounds card or should he be ok in terms of sound.

great, motherboards have significantly decreased in price then. i remember paying around 200 dollars for my bloodrage. is there a big difference between Intel and AMD motherboards?

oh and can someone else check over the build aswell, no offence bodaggit, but the more people look at it the more sure i am that its going to work

I've seen boards with no graphics built in, but never one without sound. ;)

The Bloodrage was a nice board, made by a big name manufacturer, plus it's
an X-58 board with triple channel memory. Not many X-58 boards under $200 yet. :D

The ASRock is a budget brand, compared to other bigger names, and an AM3
socket with only dual channel memory. There's oodles of AM3 boards under $100.

The price boils down to brand and options really.

can someone other than Bodaggit23 check my system?

Skip the VR and get a 1TB WD Black.

Where I live I would get an I7-930 for $199 over that AMD chip but I have no idea what you can get it for.

I would use the savings (HDD) to get a nicer MOBO. I am not an AMD guy(so I have no idea what MOBO that is) but the single biggest mistake I made on my first build was buying the lowest price MOBO. If not use the savings from the VR to get a 5850. I bet you dont get much of a MOBO for $90

i decided to get the Seagate 1TB instead of that velocirator. And honestly im not much of an AMD guy myself so i dont know what motherboard to get. I def did not take one of the cheapest ones. I looked around and got one that had everything i want. So you tell me the benefits i would get from getting another, more expensive, motherboard. Then ill see if its worth spending the money on it.
