I'm considering buying a small gaming rig so I don't have to keep using my business pc (I'm a photographer) for when I game...also, I don't want to take my current pc from the house so I want one for the occasional lan party and such.
When I bought my current pc I was completely up to date on all the current hardware, but after I bought it I didn't keep up...so I have no idea what's the better processors and such are now. I'm trying to make a really cheap rig (under $1000, preferably under $800 or so) so the best of the best isn't really important to me.
something upgradeable would be nice though. what are the current AMD and Intel offerings?
