Another kind of system freezing

Hy everybody!

I also have a problem with a feezing XP.

I think is hardware (I already formated the partition and re-install XP).

I changed IDE ribbons, checked electrical contacts at HDD, changed the video card, there isn't anything over-clocked, the teperature is OK...

When I put him to do something, like a completly scan with Northon AntyVirus, it completly feezes - just the reset button still works. This happens after a while, couple of minutes after the begining of the scan.

Anybody with an ideea? PLS

maybe tray a scandisk/defrag before trying the do a full system scan.

Run the system in safemode , Retry the scan does it freeze? If not then you have a background application causeing this. which can be resolved by typing in run.

Command = msconfig, check startup tab clear 3 items at a time till u find the suspected program.

Unless your having same kind of freezing as this guy.
