Another Windows 7 question.

If I get the full version of windows 7 can I run it just like an upgrade disk, or do I have to get the upgrade disk from vista, also all my programs and games etc. will still be there, I don't want to do a complete reinstall, just the upgrade, thanks.
 
you can just pop in the windows 7 disk thats all you need. and it keeps all ur files if you are only upgrading. clean install is what will wipe it all
 
I no what a clean install is, I just wasn't sure if my programs would still be there if it would just put the files in the windows.old file or what ever its called. I was thinking about buying the full version but I dont want to install all my programs and stuff again, so wasn't sure if I needed to buy just the upgrade disk.
 
Well I am doing the upgrade right know, I just hope all my games, drivers, programs and all that work and no data is lost, I backed up most of everything, but that is still not the point lol.

Anybody had a bad experience with anything after not working, after upgrading?
 
Sorry for triple post but I have to say that I did the Windows 7 upgrade and every single program, file etc. Even my games!!!!! is there and it all works, no problems. Except I had to approve everything threw windows firewall, even all my drivers are working :) I have to say for once I am impressed by a Microsoft product. Windows 7 is so quick, can't believe how fast it is. Games even load up quicker. I highly recommend windows 7 to all!
