Antec, Rosewill, Something else?

Well first off I want to say thanks for anyone who might read this in helping me choose a case. I am now in need of a PSU and I'm stuck between two choices. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817103932 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817182009 . I'm not all up on my PS so I have no clue which one to buy. I know that I want something between 500 and 600watts, but I don't know if the antec is really worth the extra money. I don't mind spending if it is though.

EDIT: On the Antec I see that it has some fan only plugs. I was reading a review on another website and it says that these plugs drop the speed of the fan by half or so. Is this true? What's the point of this fan only plug when I would want to get the most out of it.

The fan only connector runs the fans at varying speeds depending on the temperature of the PSU, if the PSU is working harder so is the system and so the fans need to run harder. It is a noise control thing, if you don't like them don't use them.

The rosewill is average, nothing really special about it. The Antec looks pretty good.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to go with my gut and get the Antec 550watt. I need a lot of connections and that will give it to me.

Thats a nice PSU.....its a nice and reliable PSU, ived been running my Ssystem with that PSU(Vapochill/Watcooled), and hasnt failed me considering the fact that Im running with all this bling-bling.
 
That's good to know since I'll be running two of them. They put off just enough blue light inside the case too... or at least for me. I don't want to get too flashy.
 
only downside is, cables are short....cant even hide it behind MOBO tray for a cleaner case look, but overall its a thumbs-up PSU.
 
At least they are good lookin' cables though. In one of my cases (AOpen), it only has a half or 3/4 window and I can't see the drive bays and maybe a inch or two behind the drive bays, so I can't see any of the wires, so to speak. On the other case with a full window I'll be able to see everything, so having nice looking wires will be more important to me.

Except that Antec will run circles around it like its a retarded rock :D

Modularitly is nice, Ultra X-Connects and an Antec NeoPower are modular as well.

For Ultra, not their 400W X-Connects ... just their 500W ones
