Antivir XP Anyone?

Hiya all,

Ive just downloaded Antivir XP (Antivirus) and so far it seems good.

I do like Avg but i like to try out different stuff to see which one i think is better.

Well from what ive seen around the internet the user reviews are quite good but i wanted to know if anyone here uses it and is its virus detection good?

I was an AVG person, then I tried our AntiVir and I really liked it, but after a reformat I ended up downloading AVG again.

How come you switched back to Avg? better than Antivir Xp?
 
I haven't used any kind of AV expect what is provided with the XP Home OEM edition (firewall) for a few months now.

Completely malware free, and I've been to quite a few questionable sites.

I regularly scan with a few programs, but they aren't real time protection at all. Our network is invinsible...well, at least pretty secure...
 
I still think you should get one though,I mean afterall theres quite a few free antiviruses out there and thats why i like testing them :D
 
I've used Norton, McAffee, AVG, ZoneAlarm, etc. They all work fine.

But if I can get by with nothing...and still not have any problems...why use it? My computer is sitting on a private network, it's not just plugged into our router. It is already behind a hardware firewall, which takes the blunt of the "attacks". Anything that gets past that PC, infects the entire network essentially. But in the years we've had this up...it's never happened.
