Antivirus software I can use in BIOS

Hi,

I have a very badly infected computer that won't let me re-install window xp on it and I remeber once a friend perfoming an antivirus check in a computers setup mode (in BIOS). Can anyone recommend a piece of software that would do this and how to use it.

I would greatly apprciate any help.
