Hai

Hope someone can assist. With regards to Microsoft Security Essential(MSE), software, i seem to get some conflicting answers from my collegues who some says its good as its open source. Where another party says it does not work as good as other paid softwares ... like kaspersky or mcafee.

Being such, is it advisable to install this MSE in my Call center computers---there is 20 ??
Any advice guys/ladies?

MSE is quite new so I recommend Avira AntiVir free, paid editions do not have better detection rates just support.

I dont know about those two, but I'd recommend AVG Free. However I have heard only good thing about Avira and MSE both. I use AVG Free on my fiancees computer.

I use a paid version of Trend Micro, I like it and there are tons of features for protection. But any of those free versions will do a perfectly good job. My fiancee doesn't get any malicious items, but we're both pretty careful where we go and what we do online.

+1, one of the reasons MSE/Avira users don't get infections is if you know about them, I'm pretty sure you're already "smart" about security.
