Antiwin-Boo virus

Since a week or so ive got a virus on my computer the antiwin-boo virus. Ive never heard about it and neither has symantec. and i couldnt find it on google or something like that. So im seriously doubting its a virus. But anyway i cant get it of my computer. ive tried formatting it with a fresh boot disk. When the computer has almost finished the formatting process we get an really annoying peep and an error that says we need to modify the boot sector. if we answer that with anything but an Y nothing has happened. if we answer it with Y everything is formatted. if we try to install windows after that it crashes at the license screen. if we restart the computer then it says it couldnt some files because there is a virus detection program running. but we just formatted so that couldnt be. anyone know what that antiwin-boo thing/virus?

ive found references to your virus on a spanish site, it also says that its an ms-dos virus. however, there's no mention of how to remove your virus.

edit - it also mentioned that its a boot sector virus. try to see if you can get a friend to make a boot disk for you on an uninfected disk and see if you can format then. if you're using a floppy disk be sure to turn the read-only tab on

i probably found the same article like hairy_lee. in spanish,

but one article said that its a fake virus. but that doesn't seem plausible since you are having porblems with it.

oh im im thinking its on os' like 95 and 98. what os are you running?

yep i do:cool:
start ur computer with a clean boot disk
and go to DOS and type in: fdisk/mbr
MBR = Master Boot Record:D
thats the only way if u ask me;)
but this wont work on win xp:(
