any 1 know when the quad core are going down in q2 i might get a quad instead of a e6600 if its not that far of the prices falling down

if its worth a wait ill wait :P

o well thnxs for trying ill wait till april and if its not down i will just get a core 2 duo although i want to buildthe ultimate computer for the lowest price, also i want to keep up with games for at least 5 years since i dont have the money to build a new one then. so if some one finds out the exact date when its coming out that would be very helpful, i am getting an nvidia geforce 680i sli motherboard and gonna wait till the 8900gs come out and later on run em in sli
 
It'll probably be around mid may before the retailers get rid enough of their old stock to warrant selling the processors at the new price.
 
^ yeah i reckon that too, early-mid may is the prime time to buy.

8900GS?? when the heck are those coming out? you might be waiting some time...
 
There hasn't been a confirmed release date for the 5 new nvidia cards. My guess though, Q4 2007 - Q1 2008 for all 5 of them to be available. I think the DX10 games are going to have to come out in an onslaught for them to release those cards any sooner. I believe nvidia has learned its lesson the first time with rushing drivers to meet demand that hasn't even shown up yet.

But then again, I have been wrong before :P
