Any bugs using a Windows 7 64-bit Upgrade disk?

I am looking at buying a Windows 7 64-bit Upgrade disk. Are there any bugs going from Windows XP 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit? Anyone had any personal experience with this?

I have heard you can do a clean installation of Windows 7 with an upgrade disk as long as there is a previous version of Windows installed. But I wanted to verify here before I buy.
 
Well tehnically Windows XP is not the previous OS.It's Vista lol.
And upgrading 32-bit OS to 64-bit OS is never a good idea.
Upgrading from 64-bit to 64-bit is the right way.Usually upgrading 32-bit to 64-bit doesn't work correctly and you may have serious problems later.
A full clean installation of 64-bit OS is a lot better solution.
I never use upgrade disks anyway.It's a lot better to have a disk with full OS which offers clean installation.
Upgrade disks suck.I always hated them lol!
 
A clean install is the only way to go, IMHO.
I even do a complete erase of the HDD with KillDisk to make sure I have all the available space and to be sure it is squeaky clean.
 
You can use upgrade media to do a full, clean install. It installs the same files as the non-upgrade disk.

Going from 32-bit Win XP to 64-bit Win 7 is not possible without a clean install, therefore there won't be any previous OS on the disk for the upgrade media to check so you need to do a little work to do a clean install from the upgrade media, clean install windows 7 from the upgrade disc

If you have a licensed copy of XP then you are legally entitled to use the upgrade media and save a few dollars on the cost of Win 7.
