The relationship usually goes the other way around (i.e., you'll wanna match media to burner rather than burner to media). Before we can really assess the quality of the media, we'll need the ATIP/Subcode from the DVD to see who the manufacturer is:

I usually buy the Riteck Ridata blank DVD-R from this company. This brand I know, pretty much works with any brand DVD burner. I have never heard of the media that you are looking at. I do know that the Riteck rated at 8X burn at 12X with no problems in my Pioneer 108A burner.
