any of the guy's in UK familiar with Maplin?

i've shopped in my local maplin store, i have to say that come of the computer parts are patchy, although they do sell some good brands.
 
about the same as pcworld's prices really, its been a while since ive shopped there but they tend to do some good deals and bundles every so often. its about what i would expect from a reasonable high street store but it doesn't really compete with online prices
 
Maplin certainly don't specialise on pc parts. But you should see their in-store catalogue. It makes Argos pale into insignificance and it's all electronics-based. I buy audio equipment and cables from them, and they've got some cool thegadgetshop - type gadgets.

If you're looking for pc parts, though, stick with the likes of pc world is my advice.
