Any Programs Like This?

I'm looking for a program that is capable of properly scaling desktop wallpapers for XP.

I recently bought an LCD monitor and running it at 1280x1024, but all my saved wallpapers are 1024x768. So when I set a wallpaper to stretch in display options, it distorts the image.

Is there any free program out there that will keep the original ratio, but still stretch the image to fill the desktop?

Not really. Upscaling an image usually doesn't really turn out right. You can upscale it to a certain percentage of it's original size and still have it turn out good, but it's been so long I don't remember what that percentage is.

What you can try is add more space to it if it's background and what not is a solid color. If you don't mind, posting the wallpaper could help in deciding what's best.

Solid color's won't work, the majority of the wallpapers are photos and aside from going thru each and every one of them (about 300 total) and adding some sort of border, there really isn't an easy fix.
