Any RAM stick?

My computer currently has 3GB of RAM but most games makes the CPU usage and physical memory to 100%. Is it related to RAM? If so.....

I don't know what kind of RAM stick my computer has. I want to add 2 more 1GB sticks of to my comp. Can I just buy any kind of RAM stick or I have to buy the same kind of RAM stick my computer has?

You could use a tool like on the crucial website which will tell you what type of RAM is compatible with your system.

Besides this, you could look around in your BIOS setting to see the speed of said RAM.

More powerful games, as a general rule, tend to use more of your computers resources, however 100% of your CPU and RAM does seem high. What CPU are you using?

3GB of memory should be plenty, but without knowing the specific game, can't say that for certain. You should also be aware that you will (probably) already have all DIMM slots populated, as to get 3GB you will have either 2 x 1 GB + 2 x 512MB, or, 3 x 1GB. If the latter, you will likely not be able to use the third stick anyway because any other 1GB stick that you get wouldn't be matched to the current stick.

Without knowing your system specs and the game, can't really comment though

There are factors involved in replacing, or adding ram memory. One is the speed. You can generally use a stick of DDR ram that is 1 step higher. Example: Your computer uses 333MHz DDR ram,(PC2700). You can use 400MHz DDR ram,(PC3200) It will step down in frequency. Two, you have to know the MAXIMUM TOTAL amount for your computer. Three you have to know the MAXIMUM amount for each ram slot. As far as brand of ram stick, doesn't matter. Easy way to find out this info is to go to Crucial.com. Use their Crucial System Scanner Tool. (On homepage look for 'Scan My System' button, and click on it.) This is provided of course, that the computer in question, (For ram), is operable, and internet ready. It's free, no junk attached, and you're not obligated to buy from them.
