Any recommendations of good pdf writer software

Anyone can please reccomend any good pdf writer software products?
I am looking for an easy way to convert documents ( pictures, data sheets, word, excel ) to pdfs. There are many products around ( lower cost alternative to Adobe Acrobat ) but of what I tried so far each of them have some annoyances.

I don't know of a small program, but OpenOffice allows you to export files as PDF.

Thank you for your suggestions! The best seem to be X and PDF Writer Pro ( http://www.amicutilities.com/pdf-writer/ ) , I will also compare a few other, and then make a decision of which to buy!

I PDFs

I personally like and use Acrobat 8.0 professional but it was expensive, but i like the foxit pdf editor which i know for a fact is cheap and foxit reader is free too

The foxitReader loads faster than Adobe even on slow laptops.
Plus it has a text selection tool, Adobe does not permit it.
Go to Tools in the menu and click on 'Select Text'.

Have you heard of pdf repair? Foxit has it.

http://www.cutepdf.com/ the cutewriter is free. Doesn't have watermarks or anything. I used to use adobe however it is very heavy. Cute seems to use much less CPU power and converts docs so much faster. Hope this helps, if so perhaps you could help me with my question on
