Any Suggestions for New Ram?

I'm thinking about upgrading my ram. I think either a 2 gb stick or a pair of 2 gb sticks though. Can someone suggest some based on my motherboard and cpu? I'm considering overclocking my cpu into the 3 ghz range with this ram as well.

I've decided that I wanted to go with crucial. Which would be a better choice?

The first is pc-8500 but the 2nd is the performance line. Which would typically perform better and which would overclock a C2D with more stability?

that's what I have now. But when I try to overclock, my computer usually has trouble posting. I decided that it was probably the ram, and after nearly 2 years of just putting up with my computer's posting problem, i decided to switch ram. I'm not sure if i wanted to stay with G Skill because of that.
