Any way to detect and erase duplicate files?

I installed a couple of programs to my computer. 2 programs took me a couple of attempts to install them. I know that there are some duplicate files in memory. Is there a method I can use to detect and delete only the duplicate files other than manually?
 
I was installing a drum software that didn't give me the option to overwrite files, but I am pretty sure that I have multiple files
 
When installing programs they tend to not ask you to overwrite files and do it anyway. Thats just the way it works. I'm sure you don't have duplicate files.
