Any way to get around this?

I have an Epson printer and am out of color ink, but my black ink is full. The problem is the printer won't print, it just keeps popping up saying I'm out of color ink. Is there any way around this?

Ussually if you just set the printer to black and white it wouldn't pay attention to the color ink level (but i don't know about your printer).

If you don't know how to do this here:
Start>settings>Printers/ when you get to the folder, right click on your printer you're using and select prefrences and you should be able to find the setting for black and white.

Does your printer have the Printer Heads/Jets built into the Ink Cartridge or are they in the Printers Ink Cartridge holder.
If they are on the Cartridge Holder, and you cant select to just print in 'B&W' only, then make sure you don't keep printing(and dont do a head clean) untill you put the new cartridge in, otherwise it dries out the Heads for the colour section and you end up having to send it back to Epson to be fixed.

Anyway, if you don't mind risking it, some models think you have a new cartridge in if you remove the empty one then put it back in(makes it think you have a new one in)... BUT, this will no doubt end up creating more problems.
