Any way to turn a live concert into mp3 files?

I TIVO'd a live concert on my PVR the other day - and was wondering if there is a way I can cut up the songs onto an mp3 format without the videos - so I can listen to them on an mp3 player?

Sounds like a common thing to do - but I'm not too versed on audio / video manipulating applications.

Does anybody have a recommendation as to what software I should be looking for? Freeware is always preferred - but I'm open to other suggestions.

Thanks

what format are the videos in ? there is a free program called format factory 2.20 free download at www.freewarefiles.com or www.cnetdownloads.com it converts audio, pictures and videos but if you want to get the audio stripped off a video all you need to do is go to the audio option select mp3 then add your video and when it comes out in ffoutput folder in your documents folder it will have only the audio not the video.

what format are the videos in

It's not formatted into any format right now. I'd be bringing it via coaxial input to TV Tuner. I've not used it to record any programming yet - so I don't know what format it stores in. Currently the content is saved on my Comcast Cable box
