any way to unlock motherborad to my window 7

i bought win 7 a year ago but unfortunately my motherboard fails, but it really cost so much to buy a licensed copy.............. i want to change to a new model of motherboard but Iwant to keep using this win7...............i heard somebody saying that OEM locked to a particular motherboard which is something i really didn't know ............ how to solve this problem i really can't afford another licensed win7 ((

Did you purchase Windows 7 a year ago, or did it come pre-installed on a pre-built computer? If you bought it, you can just activate it again on the new machine. You may have to call up Microsoft for an activation code, but if it's been a year you may not have to.
