Any way to use mobo RAM as video RAM?

Hi there, I am wondering if it is possible to use a computer's RAM as video RAM? When I run games only a little over half of my RAM is used, so it would likely increase the graphics capability of my computer if I used some of that as video RAM.

Not really. Some lower end cards did a version of this called 'turbocache' and similar. The issue is that system RAM is a lot slower than GPU RAM. You would only negatively impact performance trying to offload your system's RAM as your GPU RAM pool with a card like the 770.

Also keep in mind that VRAM does not wholly determine a vague phrase such as 'graphics capability'.

Nope. Get a GPU with more vRAM.

The GTX 770 is pretty strong, so if you're experiencing lag, turn something down a little bit or upgrade your processor.

I'm not really experiencing lag, it's just that I don't get that great of framrates on far cry 4, nonetheless the game runs smooth on 1080p and max settings, just runs at about 20-30fps, rather than 40 or 50. Also on every game I've run, my processor never maxes out during gameplay, which I know thanks to the display on my g-15 keyboard, which is old I know, but it's one of the few keyboards with a full flip-screen display.
