Hey guys, I dont have much experience with the MSconfig Start-up, so I dont want to un-check anything I shouldnt (and I know I probably will )
So will you help?

Below I have posted the screen shots of all of them.

Only took a quick glance, but nix the DVD, Realplayer, AOL, jusched, itunes, quicktime, yahoo messenger, all three Adobes to start with. All are completely un-needed for startup. Running out for the rest of the day in a minute, but if no one else posts up, I'll be back later tonight.

Open up the command directory and show the location. you have a swoop of items you can turn off. (show the directory and location). expand the location.

click the line right at the end of the bar and drag it to the right.

Voyagerfan99, your not helping at all, as I said before, it wont let you click and drag the screen AT ALL meaning, you CANT do it.

You know most programs without having to use msconfig usually has a option in their setting to uncheck start up with windows!

Ok, theres an easier way to do this. Just download and install CCleaner. Then run it and click "tools" and then click "startup". Here's my screenshot

Basically just leave anything to do with vid card, drivers, printers, or antivirus.

Wow, I cant believe I have never noticed CCleaner had a start-up viewer

Ok well your startup is full of crap!! When reviewing it I found that you still have parts of norton left. Did you un-install it?

Anyways uncheck the top 4 things (Aim6, ctfmon, and both dells). Also uncheck CCapp, dscactivate, ehTray, osCheck, QuickTime Task. Try all of those and see how your startup is.

No problem so, did you get rid of norton? If so then, we need to take a few more steps to completely get rid of it.

Download and install Hijackthis

Run it and click "Do a system scan only". When its done click "save log" and copy the entire thing a paste it here in a new post.

No, I never deleted it, but it has run out and I havnt paid the $50 they want for the renewal

So you are using AVG now, right? If so then, it is a good idea to un-install norton b/c having two AV's running is not good even if norton is not activated.

Well I dont really even use AVG either, that was just a free download. I have just been using SpySweeper. But i'll un-install the norton right now .

K can you post another hijackthis log after you un-installed norton? Norton always leaves junk behind.
