Anyone Flash for Cash?

I have another website project coming up in about a month or so and its for my work (radio station) so its gotta look good! I have some ideas to do some flash work or little advertisements promoting our morning and afternoon shows. I have flash 8, but dont know how to use it and was curious if anyone on the boards would be willing to either teach me flash over the course of a couple evenings or better yet, if I gave them the elements, have them put together a flash banner and I could pay them.

If anyone is interested, let me know. All I ask is for a sample of your work and what your skill level would be considered because some of this may be very detailed. Also include what you would charge and how quickly I could get the work. I would pay half prior to the work and half after its completion. Thanks!
 
What kind of banner? It maybe possible to do it with an animated gif too i have done both but kind of curious what specifically you would be looking for?
 
I wandered about doing it as an animated gif file but was not sure how you put the images together as a gif and animate them. If its possible to do it that way, I could handle doing it, I just dont know how to compile them together!

Basically its going to be a banner at the top of the screen that would have pictures of the hosts and say things like 'JOIN BEN E KROOZE AND DAVE DONEY EVERY WEEKDAY FROM 6-10 FOR YOUR DAILY DOSE OF NEWS, SPORTS, AND ENTERTAINMENT.' then after that paused for a few, it could switch to 'THE LUNCH TIME CAFE WITH KB EVERY WEEKDAY FROM NOON TILL 1./ FINALLY A PLACE THAT GETS YOUR ORDER RIGHT!' and lastly a slide that says 'EVERY WEEKDAY JOIN RYAN PHILLIPS FOR YOUR AFTERNOON DRIVE/ AT 4:20 GET YOUR KOOL HOLLYWOOD MINUTE AND AT THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE HOUR YOUR LICKING COUNTY NEWS UPDATE WITH MIKE WAHL'

Those are all pretty cheesy but you get the idea. They would just be static images with the text changing, then a new slide would take over and do the same. I imagine it might actually be easier to do it as a gif
 
That wouldnt be hard at all man this could be done with fireworks in about 30 mins if you have the design for the images laid out..
 
Ive never really played around with fireworks at all. Is it pretty easy to use? I usually opt to go with photoshop just because i already know how to use it. Is there an option to make banners in fireworks?
 
So, it's just a static pictures with some moving text?
I've got a great way to make the text change in mind! :) (In Flash)

There isn't an option to make a banner in Fireworks, but you can set the canvas size to what-ever you want, and then slap some images in and son on... ;)
 
I would definately let kornowski take this one as he is our vip resident graphics guru and i respect that :-) would rather see a pro do it and get it done right... good luck guys..

Just to let you know, I wasn't trying to wreck your parade :)
I was just an option... Maybe we could both make something, and then let Ninja decide?
 
Well Im glad to see there is some interest in helping me on this! I will be in touch around the second week of March depending on when the boss wants to get the project started! Thanks guys!
