Anyone had problems with internet browsers?

I have reccently downloded Google Chrome onto Windows 7.
it was okay for a short while but it wouldn't load videos and was taking to long in general to load webpages.
I have tried to uninstall it as i wanted to install Opera. I clicked on the uninstall box and an error message popped up saying that i had to close all of the windows.
I open up the task manager and ensure that all boxes that were to do with Google chrome were closed. I tried to uninstall again but had the same problem.
After a little faffing about i had discoverd that at the bottom of the screen where the date and time and the battery infomation are, there is a little arrow that allows icons to be put on there and i discovered the google chrome icon. i right clicked and removed it.
i could then uninstall google chrome.

All i wanted to know is if anyone had any problems like this? And what internet browsers people reccomend.

They are buggy at times, but browsers are one of the most updated programs out there that the general public uses. So there are bound to be issues at times.

If you can't uninstall Chrome the standard way, use RevoUninstaller to rip it out of there.

internet browsers are all pretty much the same and it can get a little confusing at times
