Anyone know about google voice?

I'm racking my brain here. I signed up for the google voice beta a while back on an old account and never really bothered with it much. Well I got my new android phone and made a new gmail account that I wanted to tie my att number too so I deleted my old account that had the voice settings tied to it but when I try to activate my number with the new account it won't let me because it still says it is tied to a different account. anyone know how to get it activated on my new account? There does not seem to be much google help on the issue or in general on their site.

You may have to contact Google about it and have them fix it. Or get a different Google number (not account). I use Voice a lot, as I don't have a phone and it's a great texting alternative. I just wish there were more gadgets that connect to it, I mean like browser plugins and such. Gmail needs to have a text section added to it.
