Anyone of you know the Aero engine II?

Well... i got this case yesterday, and i love it... But.. The front intake Turbine Fan ( its a fake fan, thats driven by the airflow of a 140mm fan behind it, so it speeds up slowly making it really look like a turbine ) isnt put nice onto the middle of the axle,.. meaning, its wobbeling a bit,. making it look quite ugly :(

Now.. i send a message to the shop where i bought it,.. and they said all those turbine fan's have it, they could return it to the manufacturer for replacement, but they dont think that would help, and i wouldn't have it for 2 weeks or so.
But,.. does anyone of you know something about this? i mean, i saw several reviews on that case, and all ver very positive... and none mentioned something about having a wobbely front fan,.. wich is really worth mentionning usually, because it doesnt look good at all.
I could try to fix it myself.. try to allign the axle with the fan... but if something snap's it's game over ofcourse :(

That's probably intentional since it is made of plastic for oscillation and distribution. Because of the offset being that it depends on the actual 140mm interior fan that sits behind it the air flow from the blades is also offset. The reason for the wobble is simple. If it was firm it would need a spindle to drive it. With it free wheeling it only needs the air flow to see it spin. Well, that's if you are talking about this model here......

well... it beeing wobbely is because the axle is spins on isnt in perfect allignment with the Fan. ( so you see the tip's of the fan blades move forward and backward the whole time, as if the axle is bend.

the shop told me i could bring it.. but it would take about 4 weeks before i would have it back. So i decided to start bending a bit myself, since i noticed the Plastic is quite soft.. the offset of the wobbeling is like 0,5mm now.. id like to get it perfect, but this will do for now.
I guess i'll have to do some bending myself,.. i dont really feel like waiting 4 weeks for a lazy shop :(

Edit, It looks pretty OK now,.. hope the plastic doesnt bend back in time

Just go easy with that plastic. That's premolded material that will split on you. Did you notice how the 140mm fan is mounted on the outside of the chassis? I remounted that on the inside so the blades wouldn't exposed when you take the front panel off. Instead of going in reverse the screw heads now sit flush in the recessed shoulder. Of I still have to tap lightly on the outer grill to get the outside one to turn.

Despite the wobble still seen the board temps seen in the old case at 48C idle now see 31-33C idle. If and whenever the 140mm wears out a 120mm blue led model will still mount there as a replacement. The air flow is great despite the wobble of the front intake fan. Put a pair of 120mm on the side cover to get it even cooler! What I am still looking at is the cpus now draw less power while it's actually the boards that draw more power and run warmer?

I wouldn't wait 4 weeks either! I don't blame you for one minute for trying to get that spinning smoother. Just don't try forcing it 100% and end up ruining it ok? Even with the annoyance of the outer turbine it does do a great job keeping temps down. A good number of cases don't even have front vents let alone a place for a 120mm or the 140mm fan seen there. :)

Fan looks quite out of place. Not too fond of the huuuuuuuge acrylic window either.

Yes but look at the amount of air flow compared to other case with no front intake and not even front vents. What I was looking at here was not so much the style but whether or not it would see the effectiveness in keeping overall system temps down. The pair of 120mm blue led fans mounted on the inside of the cover give it a rather different appearance. It was a worth the time here. :D

fan looks like a huge front speaker! ;)

Surprisingly you don't even hear the plastic turbine they threw in in front of the actual 140mm blue led fan.

Hmm... i chose it mainly for the looks.. i mean, true.. i kept airflow in the back of my head,.. but I really love the looks of this case.
( besides,.. front fan is blue,. i have a green lighter Sata cable, mu CPU Fan lights up green,.. and i have Red cathodes in my case atm (can turn them on and off tough) And the looks are rather cool imo :D

I know! I know! I just haven't gotten around to get multicolored neon strips to dress the case up with yet. I wonder how a rainbow effect would look here. hhmm..,? ;)
