Anyone played Shift?

I'm thinking of buying NFS: Shift, but I want some people's opinion on it. I love the idea of the game, playing on actual tracks in realistic races, not on some made up street racing course. I hear it's an amazing game, but I want someone from this forum's input on it. So, can anyone tell me how it is?

Thanks, I didn't see that thread. I downloaded the demo, and man, that game is tough. Will probably buy a wheel too while I'm at it.

i heard the sound effects are really good in it. tires squeel the way they should at those speeds, and the engines are very realistic too.
