Apache problems

I am trying to host my site and can't seem to do so. I have tried http://localhost with nothing. I have Apache installed, port 8080 forwarded, httpd.conf has been changed to "listen 8080". I have even opened 8080 in Windows Firewall. I don't know what to do, a little help here?

leave out the localhost thingy, did you try http://YOUR IP
and did you place your files in the HT DOCS directory ?

frst of all setting up apache theres nothing to be forwarded.
have your IP static and make the ISP point the domain you want to use at your IP.
I didn't have any problems with apache

What OS are you running apache on?
If Linux what distro?
Did you compile and Install your self or did you install with the OS?
Can you post your error logs?

I fixed it... Windows XP, the has to be a thing in the Advanced settings of your connection, you have to tell it to open the port, in my case 8080. B/c Verizon blocks 80, they think the Code Red still isn't over or something, I dunno, Verizon's stupid.

I would like to know how to host two webpages.... on the same port..
