APC battery backup

I have model 350U I believe and I love this thing. No more downtime during storms and surges, it also includes a software that will shut down my computer automatically and safely when the battery gets low. I have had recent instability and power surges with my power and all I hear is a small *click* and the backup is on, I don't even lose my internet connection since I have the modem on it too. I love this thing, and the best part was that there was a rebate so I got it for only 50 bucks.:eek:

Just thought I would put up a post for those who are maybe looking at surge protectors/backups...I highly recommend a battery backup and regret not having one earlier. :cool:
 
Check the voltage output. I've never had a UPS that put out a decent voltage. My current one puts out about 90v, so I refuse to use it on my desktop :P
 
my laptops are set and run on battery + ac so there's no point for ups it is also set to hibernate on 5% battery left.

the only computer i used a ups is the 24/7 downloader machine. wouldn't want it to corrupt my downloads :D
 
I keep getting slight brownouts in my room due to a lot of other electrical equipment in the house, so I got a UPS with a power conditioner on it. Best money I ever spent...
 
ya. i have 2. + a 12 v deep cycle battey on a soler panel, Have it charge my phone every night :) i feel like i am helping (a little bit). also the_other_one. nice avitar.
