Apple and Intel

nope, not unless it has the very very narrow range of hardware the OS X_86 supports AND you figure a way around their copy protection they use

biggger and more imprtant question is why anyone would want to do so other than just the novelty of it?

From what Ive read Apple has stayed with the mach3 microkernel, just setup for Intel, stupid move, costs performance. OS X in general, like windows, doesnt perform well under heavy loads. Both Apple and Microsoft have chosen to use speedy hardware to hide a multitude of sins all in the name of eye candy so they can have more sales. If thats cool to you, by all means knock yourself out.

You wont be able to easily do it, bu it would be easier to "tweak" it since they use Intel instead PowerPC.
