"Apple" ram in a PC?

I just bought some ram for my son's dell inspiron 1526. Kingston DDR2, 4GB (2x2GB) 667Mhz. On the package that arrived, it says it is for Apple Macbooks and IMAC intel series.

Can I still use this in a PC style computer, or will it not work?

Is DDR2, 667MHZ the same in either style, or is there really a difference?

Thanks for any info you can offer.

Yep, should work just fine assuming no random incompatibility issues. Macs and PCs use the same RAM.

thanks

thanks for the input. That is what I thought, but I was just trying to make sure that for some reason the architecture wasn't different between the 2 (memory wise).
