ok i do believe i've had enough of good old windows.. as far as the laptop goes at least, for now

i think its time to finally give mac a shot, but i dont even know where to begin................ which one do ya think i should look at. i dont need the newest most expensive 'cutting edge' one.. a 2 year old middle of the road type thing would probably do just fine.

just gimme a place to start thanks buddies


ps.. what do i use it for? average everyday use... nothing wicked. price? less than 700 let's say.

Well the best place I have found for them is ebay, there are a lot of people who sell Mac's for a living on there and usually even offer a warranty of some form on there. What is it you like doing on your computers?

If I may suggest you to try if you have a spare computer lying around is ubuntu 10.04 for your pc. It is free and being Unix based like OSX they run in a very similar matter. Plus it is extremely user friendly and is just as reliable as OSX as well. Plus you can get the great cost of a windows machine, and enjoy the unix OS at a lower cost.

Just download the file, burn it to disc and then install it. Worst case scenario you dont like it and you still get your mac, best case scenario you do like it and we just saved you some money. We can help you with any questions with the install, and once you get it installed we can help with any setup question you may have. You will find in the long run much easier to use then windows.
