Applemac laptop they don't tell you

My son who is into computers and has a very expensive Applemac laptop and my wife has one less expensive at around £800 both less than 2 years old with the latest firmware updated.

Now what they don't tell you is the SD slot to put an SD memory card in doesn't work. You can download photos direct from a camera but just try removing an SD card from a camera and placing into the laptop card slot. IT DOESN'T WORK

On discovering this there is no way would I buy an Apple laptop, and searching on the net many others have found the same thing.
 
Just because yours seems defective doesn't mean they all are :cool:

By the way, how do you know it doesn't work?
 
Can you give us more information about the issues your having? This would be far more productive then just grossly generalizing and badmouthing a particular brand for a problem that is most likely user (you) error.

Are you certain that you have OSX update with the most recent patches?
