applications wont open

Some programs i have wont open... i double click, and nothing... i single click and press Enter (just in case i'm not clicking right), and nothing...

I've tried all the different compatibility options, but still nothing...

Its not important, just a small game a friend reckons is should have a go with, but its pretty frustrating...

A few questions to look into:

What OS are you running? Have you scanned the file with an AV?

Are you clicking on the actual game (.exe file) or a shortcut to the game? If it is a shortcut, check the path that it points to.

Open task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and open the Processes tab. Now double-click on the game in questions and see if any new processes open.

If the game is not very important to you, and you can't get it going, and everything else is working fine on your computer, delete it.
