Arctic Accellero X2

So it finally arrived and I installed it with previous system temperatures of:

System: 41C
CPU: 38C
AUX: 53C
HD0: 31C

NOTE: My dual 120mm fans were on **HIGH**

I assumed AUX was my GFX card.. Anyway, my new temperatures.. :

System: 40C
CPU: 35C
AUX: 61C
HD0: 26C

NOTE: My dual 120mm were on **MEDIUM**

I opened up ATI Catalyst Control Center to see what my temps for the graphics really were, and they are 46C!

So two questions..

1) What is "AUX" do you think?
2) Is the Arctic really this powerful or did my 120mm fans have something to do with it?

Took a while to install as I am not overly skilled in that area, and those thermal pads were hard to get on (square pads on ever-so-slightly rectangular chips).

happy man.

If AUX is your GPU, then it went from 53C to 61C. I highly doubt AUX is your GPU temp, but im not sure what it is.

What was your GPU temp before in the Catalyst Control Center?

aux stand for auxilary in most things but I don't understand where it comes from in a pc.

It was probably the accellero, as your temps shouldn't have gone down if you set your fans from High to Medium.

I just finish installing my stuff in my P180B and I have my CPU as 26C, system at 24C, GPU at 42C, Harddrive 0 at 29C and 1 at 27C :D I love this case (all three 120mm fans set to medium) Oh and it's about 65C in my basement.

Speedfan rarely shows GPU temps; look at ATItool for them. I guess you don't know what your graphics card was temperature wise before?
