Very lol. I have one and it is not even audible to the ears and keeps the video card very cool. Also it exhausts the heat out the back so it also helps your case temps.
 
im not sure that you know what im talking about..... i mean the thermal compound, not the cooler. (i have the cooler, and its sweet :D)

HAHAHA, My bad i miss read. Yes you can put artic silver on a video card too. I put it on mine. Works great!!!!
