The GTX295 is better than two gtx260 in sli, its basically two gtx275's sandwiched onto one card, which is essentially a gtx260 but with 240 shaders like a gtx280/285, the same number of rop's as a gtx260, and a 448bit memory interface vs 512bit.

What vs a gtx285? A GTX295? The gtx295 would still be faster as its a dual gpu card, but two GTX285 in sli would be faster than a gtx295.
