are 2nd hand motherboards abig no no??

hi lookin at a motherboard,it is 2nd hand,do i go for it or do istay away frm 2nd hand ones and just buy new.thnx

Motherboards do not wear out. If they are kept cool and fed properly with the right electricity, they are not life limited.

second hand motherboards are fine. If you are buying online though (off ebay, craiglist whatever) only pay through paypal. If it turns out the seller is iffy and the board is dead, you can start a dispute through paypal and get your money back, so there is no risk, it is safe :)

Yea but I also buy from someone with a 100% feedback and look at previous buy/sell transactions from the potential seller.

Yes, you are protected, but do as Remeniz says and try to go for a reputable seller, just less chance of there being any problems
 
any ideas on motherboards what to buy. i would like to buy an asus or gigabyte,i havent got alot to spend,i jst need a new computer cus my laptop playing up,so i thought id build my own,i want one which i will be able to run windows 7 on,i want to be able to upgrade it in the future,i play games a little,i do alot of burning and multimedia sort of things.help would be gr8,
 
i can get a asus p7p55d-e lx and intel i5(750) 2.66 ghz for 215.00.is it worth it?.if i was guna go cheaper which i probs am ive found this.asus p7h55-m pro,any good??thnx
