Are 4G LTE phones worth it?

Where in the U.S. are you? 99% of smartphones that you buy at a carrier are 4G LTE capable, and the monthly fees are the same with 3G or 4G LTE.

I live in Walled Lake, Michigan. My carrier is Sprint and I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. I got the phone in April and only got 4G signal maybe 5 or 6 times for only like 5-10min each time. And it is not as fast as it is supposed to be. If you are going to get a 4G phone, don't get it with Sprint because Sprint sucks. So I am basically paying for a 4G phone but I don't get 4G signal. But I have heard that Verizon and AT&T has good 4G signals almost everywhere. Don't get me wrong, 4G is faster than 3G! Just don't get it with Sprint.

I have Cricket which has them only in Tucson, AZ. So you're saying the monthly fees are the same?
Ah, I was referring mainly to the large nationwide carriers. I know MetroPCS charges more for 4G, Cricket may also. If they have 4G in your area I'd say go for it.
