are the newer solid state HDs basically a huge flash drive? do they work the same way in terms of storing data? both are just basically RAM, except when you turn off the power, they retain the memory right?
ram is MUCH, MUCH faster than SSD's though, there going to have to come up with a much faster way to get that stuff to the ram to really use it to its full potential.
maybe they will just make non violate ram and make HUGE sticks of it and call it a mass storage device, as long as its fast as the current RAM out than computers would be pretty much instant to any peice of data. although everyone would need 64-bit OS's....meh....maybe ill make one
