Hi
i wanted to ask if the amd r390 (gtx 970) and r380 (gtx 960) is somewhat still future proof
its meant to be played for 1080p and 1140p in the future
when i buy the r380 will it be obsolete next year?
thanks in advance

No such thing as future proof.. Electronics and technology in general is old before its even released.

I wouldn't be buying a 300 series card..especially now as they were rebranded 200-series to begin and the next gen are literally weeks from release..at least on the Nvidia side.

At $379 a brand new Nvidia GTX 1070 makes worlds more sense then a several year old 300 series at a higher price point.

i live in europe so i dont know when they going to be available here
im pretty sure we wont get them at launch
problem is that i need a graphics card now
because mine is damaged right now
and yes it sucks very bad timing to have a fcked up card now

i was thinking buying the r9 370 4gb :

you think for €173 for just the time beeing (like 1+ year) would be ok?
how does the r9 370 4gb compare to the hd 7870?

I feel you, I'm gonna have to drive into the US to grab a new card cause we get ruined here in Canada on exchange and inflation.

If you need to grab a card now, I suppose the cheapest you can find in the 300-series with 4GB is best bet... Your exchange isn't straight forward into USD either. Are there any R9 380 for dirt cheap at a local shop??
