Are there upgrades for older IBM Thinkpads?

I just bought an IBM Thinkpad via eBay. It has Windows 98. I'm told that Ram and other upgrades may be hard to find so I thought I'd ask you guys if you knew anything that would help me.
 
how old is it.. what is the prossesor and how much ram, etc. You can probably upgrade the ram and harddrive if you really wanted.
 
I doubt it's anything too propriatary, but I suspect the RAM's maxed out. I know you can't upgrade the processor(or it wouldn't be just any ol' pentium) The hard drive should be upgradable. Most any 2.5" IDE/PATA should work. You might have to find some bios extension or something to get a large drive to work. Something like a 20G, though, should do fine.
