Are these compatiable?

yes, the motherboard and cpu are both socket 775 so there wont be any compatability issues there. i reccomend you dont get OCZ ram with an asus motherboard. there is known compatability issues when mixing asus and ocz!

and no you wont need a 64 bit operating system; a x64 processor is backwards compatable with the x86 instruction set.

in english, you can run 32 bit fine on it :)

also i reccomend getting an after market cooler for your processor, quads are warmmm!

Why does everyone keep saying that there is this huge compatibility issue? I've used Asus and OCZ for years and have never had any compatibility issues.

I can also speak for literally hundreds of friends and customers that have not had any of these issues that people on here speak about.

So yeah, I will heavily endorse Asus motherboards and OCZ ram....ridiculous how a few people have issues and all of a sudden 2 major brands are incompatible for everyone.
