No actually i was going to make a thread about it but i guess this would still be on topic...ok so i have an XFX geforce 5200 fx card but on there site the newest drivers are from 2004 :( ...can you just use nvidias drivers (probably a dumb question)?

So to conclude NO my drivers are not up to date.

I like to say "there are no such things as dumb questions" however in my experience I feel there are :). Yours however I don't think is. You can indeed goto Nvidia's website and download the drivers there.

Driver Updates

You should always keep all of your drivers up-to-date. Everything you buy new doesn't mean it has undetected bugs in it when you bought it. That's why they make driver updates. Driver updates are to fix bugs and put more support for newer technologies. In my opinion you should always have the newest drivers for everything on your computer.

P.S. I do have all possible drivers updated.

I too share this feeling however... Even those company's releasing the drivers tell you not to update your driver unless you have a problem. If It is not broke don't fix it kinda attitude. I like to update my drivers often.
